Quil Size is approximately 36" x 36" without borders. The supply list is for a quilt using 20 envelopes. If you want to make more envelopes, you will have to bring more yardage.

Materials and Cutting Instructions:

• Back of envelope - ¾ yard - cut (20) 6"x8" squares
• Bottom or sides of envelope - 1½ yards - cut (40) 6½"x6½" squares
• Envelope flaps - ¾ yard - cut (20) 4½"x8½" rectangles (If you need to "fussy" cut so you have a certain design in the middle of your envelope flap you may want to wait until class to cut these so I can help you. You may also want to buy more yardage.

  For my quilt I used bug prints that I already had - 20 different prints. For an I-Spy quilt I also cut 20 squares of the flap fabric 2"x3" and laminated them so they could play a game by putting the pieces in each envelope, matching them. consider this when purchasing yardage.

  ***Note: If you don't want to make an I-Spy quilt, you can bring Christmas fabrics and make an advent calendar, brights for a kids room, or varied fabrics for your car to put on the back of a car seat for those long drives. Use your imagination - there are a lot of fun things to do and it is a good place to store stuff when you are finished.
